Web musings
Just had one of my designs put online
(http://www.treasuresofsrilanka.com) - Even though i do this for a living and do a number of them Its still quite a kick to see one of them up.
Turning a design into a working website is usually quite tricky, but had some good help this time - unlike some other projects i've worked on.
Noticed something about Flash related content in IE though, seems that an embedded .swf now gets a "click to activate this control" message when the mouse is hovered over it. Apparently this is due to an 'update' to IE6 which changes the way it handles ActiveX. .
Well since i can't magically convince the world to use Firefox - instead used a javascript fix - which involved writing out the .swf embedding code using a document.write rather than directly as html.
Ahh how the web has changed.
